The role is with their highly innovative product development and incubation team – building next gen tools to ensure patients have convenient and easy health care access anywhere, any time. Think of it as their in-house tech-startup and product incubator, with a track record of creating successful, funded spin offs. This role will draw on your expertise and passion in bringing new products to life, and your passion for working with startups.   The Role They are seeking a Sr Systems Software engineer (SRE) who can build software and automation tools in the sphere of modern cloud native infrastructure, systems, application security. You have multiple programming languages in your locker and understand modern technology stacks in a cloud native landscape. You approach systems problems from a coding perspective with accuracy and repeatability always in mind. You are also a solid and experienced engineer who understands the nuances within  *nix systems, cloud networking concepts (eg NAT gateways/route tables etc), best practices from a security standpoint across the OSI layers and are a fosterer of operational best practices and quality in running 24x7 apps in a distributed, secure environment   Must Haves:
  • Experience writing code (ideally Python) to automate infrastructure, security and monitoring
  • Solid understanding around Cloud Networking Infra and related concepts: DNS, TCP/IP, Routing, VPNs, Firewalls, NATs etc
  • Deep understanding of current web-app stacks, from browser code to how *nix system calls work
  • Knowledge around best practices for observability, availability, latency, scalability and efficiency of distributed systems and applications running in a modern-day Cloud Native Landscape
  • At least mid-level knowledge Sys Admin at the virtualization layer, as well as distributed operating systems eg Kubernetes
  • Willingness to be part of an On-call team
  Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2 years+ experience/knowledge with the Linux cgroups tech/ecosystem – eg Docker, Kubernete
  • 4 years+ experience with Systems, Network and Application security best practices, threat models, defensive security best practices. Understand best practices for systems, networking, and application security
  • 2 years+ experience with Azure (preferred)
  • Experience with interviewing and hiring engineers

Our client is a groundbreaking company that has blazed a trail in the semiconductor and photon-detector industry Looking for a Detector Product Engineer to join their Verification & Validation team to support delivery of globally acclaimed photon-counting detector technology to major systems original equipment manufacturers. If successful, you will have a hands on role in ensuring we fully comprehend our detector performance. Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Product Verification:
    • Execute robust product verification plans, including data acquisition, processing, and reporting activities, including best practices like compliance matrices referred to product requirements documentation.
    • Support the specification of hardware and software requirements for verification and validation activities, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage.
    • Participate in design reviews with external teams/customers, providing input on verification and testability across all design maturity stages.
  • Production Validation and Application Engineering:
    • Support test planning and execute test plans to establish correlations between in-system CT performance and detector specifications, optimizing x-ray test protocols for accuracy.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Support root cause determination efforts for test failures where appropriate, or when coming from customer failure reports, collaborating with the reliability team where a product failure occurred after shipment.
    • Utilize advanced data analysis capability to support failure mode analysis and product reliability programs.
  Experience Required:
  • Minimum 3 years of product verification, validation and/or test system development experience.
  • Requirements management experience including interfacing with design teams and customers, and traceability of verification.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to apply statistical tools, such as JMP, to solve practical problems.
  • Experience with data analysis using MATLAB, Python, or similar software.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
 
  • Others:
    • Ensure quality in all work produced; use appropriate best practices to ensure this is achieved.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and QA, to ensure integration of verification and validation processes throughout the product development process.

  Experience Preferred:
  • Experience verifying complex hardware, software, or firmware environments; experience with detection or instrumentation products.
  • Experience in mixed-signal electronic device testing and/or design, especially if it includes mixed-signal ASIC experience.
  • Hands-on experience in testing x-ray detectors, or semiconductor devices.
  • Working knowledge of product development and validation in ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 environments.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems or electrical engineering, engineering physics, physics, biophysics, or equivalent is required.
